Our current project is the 'Garden Hybrid' which implements a fusion between earth and infrastructure. We're using recycled shipping containers as the modular skeleton, and shaping the containers to circle around the yard. This 'C' shape appears to grow around the yard gravitating in the center of the house. Pure glass frames the inner walls, facing directly into nature and allowing visions of green and natural light within the confines of the home. Green roofs sit on top of the crates, allowing water absorption and re-purposing. The master bedroom perches on the second floor with a dreamesque view of the forest, and carries solar paneling upon its roof. the 'Garden Hybrid' blends in part with the earth and emphasizes the coalition between man and environment. Besides various environmental standards, the 'Garden Hybrid' creates constant appreciation and interaction with nature and educates the importance of respecting our environment. We chose the name hybrid to symbolize the blend of design, and its connotations, with the pureness of earth. As well, the 'Garden Hybrid' has a range of functions and features.
